Shopping At Friendtique
Come and experience Friendtique for yourself! Over 10,000 square feet, full of donated items; new and gently used furniture and home accessories at unbeatable prices, in addition to wonderful ladies, men’s & children’s clothing.
To say it has been busy here at Friendtique is an understatement! Since relocating in 2007 to our current location, we have purchased our building, installed a new roof, an HVAC system and renovated our building. The volunteers, board members and staff have worked hard and the result of fabulous! In that short amount of time, we have transformed our store into an atmosphere that is upscale, fun and most say is a “Shopping Experience”.
Our newly renovated building is full of recycled materials. For our remodel we were gifted with store fixtures, ceiling tiles and even the beautiful art deco stair rail that graced the second story of the now closed Freedlander’s department store. It meant so much to us that we were able to repurpose those items. Not only did it save Friendtique thousands of dollars but it allowed us to keep a bit of Freedlander’s in a thriving downtown business. It took our boutique up a notch or two and the new fixtures made the work easier for the volunteers and more pleasurable for the shoppers. It is gratifying to know we are recycling and are a part of the green movement!
The downtown streets of Wooster are changing. Many new and exciting retail shops and restaurants offer a wide variety of merchandise and great places to dine. There are rumors of several new businesses opening soon. If you have been in our store, you know we are located downtown just across from the new library. Our location is wonderful and there is ample parking. We are surrounded by small town businesses and even have two antique malls within our city block!
Most of the merchandise we offer comes from donations from our local community members. It always amazes us how generous and supportive our Friendtique clientele are. Giving and working to support Hospice is a privilege we all enjoy. Whether you are a volunteer, a donor or a shopper, you too can share that good feeling of helping an organization that helps all who ask regardless of their ability to pay.
If you have not shopped with us before, I invite you to come into our store. See all the great items we have to offer. Our staff and volunteers are welcoming and dedicated to making Friendtique a success. If it is your first time in, let us know and we will be happy to show you around.
